I went bowling last night with my friends and discovered, much to my dismay, that Wii Sports has not helped my game at all. I managed to get a high score of 120. There's no need for anyone to hear my low.

It finally snowed! Admittedly, it was only about an inch, at which point it started to ice. We always get ice here in VA. Weird.

And of course today's high is in the mid 50's, but at least I had enough to make a snowball. And the roads aren't too bad, so yay!(sarcasm), I was able to make it to work.

My quest for high speed...

...fails again.

My latest attempt to procure high speed internet access has again met with dismal failure, as I found out today that cable internet is not an option. While this irritates me, what really bugs me is that Verizon DSL isn't available. I live in one of the fastest growing counties in Virginia (2nd in VA, I think) and with the surrounding counties filling up, it's only gonna get worse (or better, depending on how you look at it). Shouldn't Verizon be chomping at the bit to sell everyone DSL?

First, let me thank everyone for their kind words of welcome. I hope everyone's had a wonderful Christmas, full of good cheer, family, and lots and lots of food.

I got some excellent loot this year, that's sure to keep me entertained for the next few weeks. And also a tremendous amount of candy that's sure to keep me sick for longer (thanks Mai!).

My sister tried out my Wii today. She seemed to enjoy it, which is amazing, seeing as she normally holds video games in the same contempt that I do reality TV. She was also quite bad at it. :P

Well, off to go watch "Once More With Feeling", then we're going to see "The Pursuit of Happiness".
